Arash Hashemi, Esq.
A criminal investigation or arrest can leave a person facing uncertainty, pressure, and serious consequences. In those moments, the lawyer you choose matters. Arash Hashemi has more than 20 years of criminal defense experience representing clients in misdemeanor, felony, and federal cases, with a particular focus on self-defense and serious felony matters. He is known for being strategic, detail-oriented, aggressive in court, and calm and reassuring with clients throughout the process.
Experience and Practice Focus
Sworn in as an active member of the State Bar of California in December 2002, Arash Hashemi was in court the very next day taking part in a bench trial. By March 1, 2003, he had established the Law Offices of Arash Hashemi. Since then, he has built his practice around criminal defense representation in cases ranging from misdemeanor charges to serious felonies and federal criminal matters. Attorney Hashemi has handled a wide variety of criminal cases, including matters involving theft, drug charges, violent crimes, domestic violence, probation and parole violations, and other serious allegations. He has particular experience in self-defense cases and serious felony matters, where the surrounding facts, witness statements, and use-of-force issues often play a central role in the defense. He has also represented thousands of Californians accused of violating probation or parole and has argued before the California Court of Appeals. His practice includes representation in California state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
Arash Hashemi’s Approach to Representation
Arash Hashemi is known for being direct and candid with clients, aggressive in court, detail-oriented in his preparation, and calm and reassuring throughout the legal process. He understands that no two criminal cases are the same and that effective defense requires close attention to the facts, the evidence, the legal issues, and the consequences facing the client.
Whether a case calls for early intervention, strategic negotiation, or trial preparation, Attorney Hashemi works to build a defense that fits the facts rather than relying on a routine approach.
